The Evans City Area Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for interested individuals to join our ranks. No prior training is needed in order to join. All necessary training will be paid for by the department after successful completion of the classes. New members are required to familiarize themselves with the apparatus prior to responding to any calls and will be signed off at the discretion of the Line Officers. All personal protective equipment is provided at no cost to members as well as small hand tools to be carried on each person. Weekly in house training is conducted on Monday evenings at the station. State certified training courses are also held several times each year taking the place of normal in house training with practical sessions (If applicable to the course) being held on weekends.
