On Monday October 27th after much anticipation, the Evans City Area Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of a brand new 2008 Chevrolet Silverado. The new squad is replacing the old Suburban that has become outdated and increasingly unreliable over the past few months. The new Sqaud 20 is a full size pickup with a Duramax diesel engine, Allison transmission, 4 door extended crew cab, and a utility bed. It is equipped with a full complement of Basic Life Support QRS equipment, patient immobilization equipment, ABC and PW extinguishers, forcible entry tools, and two (2) MSA self contained breathing apparatus. The new truck also features a spray-in bed liner and an all LED Whelen lighting package.
